Why we’re building
Bully Ranch.

A family vision, a future flock, and the beginning of a story we want to share honestly from the ground up.

Bully Ranch began as more than a business idea. It began as a family dream: to build something meaningful with our own hands, care for animals well, work with the land responsibly, and create a legacy that could grow with us.

We are Shawnee, Danny, and Dylan Cox. Together, we are working toward a family-run breeding ranch centered on Dorper and Katahdin hair sheep—two hardy breeds we admire for their adaptability, strong maternal qualities, and place in sustainable, pasture-based farming.

We believe the best things are made slowly, tended thoughtfully, and built to last.

Starting before the first fence post

A ranch does not begin when the first sheep arrive. It begins with careful planning: learning the land, designing safe pastures, preparing dependable water and shelter, choosing the right foundation flock, and creating systems that support both the animals and the people caring for them.

That is the stage we are sharing now. The plans, decisions, research, and preparation may not be the most dramatic part of the story, but they are the foundation beneath everything that will follow.

Why skin care belongs in this story

Bully Ranch Skin Care reflects the same values we want to bring to the ranch: thoughtful ingredients, patient processes, hands-on care, and pride in making something well. Every jar, bar, and botanical blend connects today’s work with tomorrow’s vision.

Our products let us share a piece of Bully Ranch before the physical ranch is complete. They also invite our customers to become part of the journey—not only by shopping small, but by following the real story as it unfolds.

What comes next

We will use this journal to document each stage: planning and land, pasture and water, fencing and shelter, selecting Dorper and Katahdin breeding stock, rotational grazing, lambing seasons, and the lessons that only hands-on work can teach.

There will be milestones, changes, long days, and probably a few surprises. We want to show all of it with honesty. Someday, we will be able to look back at this first entry and remember what it felt like to stand at the beginning.
